Story

The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity is entering a dragon boat race team into the Bristol Breakfast Rotary Club Dragon Boat Festival on the 9th June.

The team consists of charity staff members, trustees of the charity, volunteers, ex patients, HART paramedics, and SWASFT staff. We really hope you will be generous in your donations for our charity. This will be a gruelling but fun day of dragon boat racing and we hope you can support us raise money for our fantastic cause.

Robert Weeks:

"The charity helped us when our baby daughter was found not breathing in her cot. They flew critical care paramedics to our house and accompanied us to the hospital. Unfortunately our daughter passed away but we have always valued what the team did for us and support the charity whenever we can. They bring hope to families in the most unimaginable of circumstances."

About the charity

We provide air ambulance and critical care across Bristol, B&NES, North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and surrounding areas. On average we attend 5 incidents every day. As a charity we need to raise £4m each year to keep flying. Your Charity, Saving Lives together
