Story
1 lone soldier, 84 miles of contrasting terrain, 1 wall (albeit 2000 years old)!!!
I, Lt Aaron 'Fozzie' Foster will be walking/running Hadrian's Wall on the 17/18th August 2009 in a bid to raise
proceeds for the charity Breast Cancer Hope.
Breast cancer has affected, and will continue to affect so many families, as it has my own. It is imperative that funds
continue to be raised to aid the research into treatment and prevention, alongside improving awareness. So many
people are affected directly and indirectly so please spare a thought for those a little less fortunate.
Hadrian's Wall stretches from Bowness-on-Solway in the North West of the country all the way to Wallsend,
Newcastle, in the North East. It covers 84 miles of track, field, path and road, and I will travel the length of
it on foot in the shortest time I can, which I'm guesstimating will be around 28-30 hours none stop trudging.I
will at various points have a support team to rendezvous with me at checkpoints so anyone who would like to be
involved and see some of the countryside the more the merrier.
I am endeavouring to raise proceeds also for Help for Heroes simultaneously, as it is a cause so close to the
hearts of so many of us. Giving help to those who are wounded whilst serving and protecting us and the nation
in conflicts around the globe. These brave souls have given up so much. If you would like to give for Help for
Heroes then please go to my page www.justgiving.com/hadriansforheroes.
Please find it in you to give a little to make a difference.
