Story

I've had long hair for as long as I can remember, given I can barely remember yesterday this may not seem like much of a claim, but I am reliably informed I was in primary school the last time I had a 'proper' haircut.

As important as having long hair was to me, I always said I'd never let myself be one of these sad farts with long hair and a bald spot.  "First sign of thinning and it’s all coming off" I'd oft be heard saying.

Well, the first sign came and went last year when a close friend pointed out there was skin visible under the hair (cheers love) yet still I haven’t grown the balls to shave it all off, clearly I need more encouragement.

So here it is, in 2008 cancer killed 156,723 people in the UK.  In the years to come it will kill my dad and nearly a quarter of all the people you or I have ever loved, loathed or never met.
Cancer Research UK is the biggest single independent funder of cancer research in Europe and we can do our part by helping fund their research, understanding, treatment and some day, hopefully, cure of this disease.

So dig deep, donate large and let’s shave some hair.
Jamie.

... yes, it's me with the lawnmower.
