Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The situation in Syria has reached a point that it now stands as one of the biggest humanitarian disasters of our time. The University of LIverpool Islamic society has decided that its time for us to act in order to help those who are in dire need in Syria. For this purpose we are raising money for The Syria Bread Factory project.
We will be working on behalf of Muslim Hands (Reg No. 1105056), a UK based charity.
We are pledging to raise money to run a bread factory, in Aleppo, for a whole month, thus aiming to raise £14,000. This is a lifesaving cause for a country under severe humanitarian need.
It costs approximately £467 per day to run this Bread factory with a monthly running cost of around £14,000. This Bread factory produces 6,000 loaves per day, which are delivered by volunteers to 1,500 needy and poor families. This amounts to around 7,500 Syrians being fed on a daily basis.
In an attempt to raise money for this cause, I am climbing Mount Snowden on Sunday 3rd November 2013. Mount Snowden is the highest point in the British Isles outside Scotland. And im asking for your kind donations and sponsorships to achieve this. LETS HELP SYRIA TOGETHER!!!
