Many of us are privileged to enjoy Manchester’s amazing Hallé - now in it's 150th year.   The Hallé is Britain's longest-established symphony orchestra, founded in 1858 and to this day a major cultural attraction and ambassador.  The Charles Hallé Foundation is the charity which exists to raise funds to safeguard the Hallé Orchestra, Choir, Youth Choir and Youth Orchestra, as well as the educational programmes which introduce thousands of schoolchildren to music.
