Hannah's London to Paris 2016 Cycle

Loughborough London to Paris 2016 · 8 July 2016
Welcome to my Just Giving page! For those of you that know me, the idea of me cycling 234 miles in 3 days from London to Paris is quite frankly laughable, but it's happening, in July 2016, alongside other Loughborough University students as part of Loughborough RAG. As you can tell, I fancied a challenge which won't be made easy by catered hall food!
Our journey will begin from the centre of London on the morning of Friday 8th July as we head off across the challenging South Downs and aim to reach Portsmouth, having completed 73 miles of the ride by 7.30pm. We will then arrive in Caen before setting off through historic Normandy for 87 miles of cycling on day 2 before arriving in Evreux. We will then rise bright & early for our third and final day taking us out of Evreux in an easterly direction towards Paris!
Breast Cancer Now is a fantastic charity uses cutting edge research to discover ways in which to prevent breast cancer, know how to detect it earlier and how to effectively treat any stage of breast cancer. Around 50,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year of which approximately 12,000 women die each year from the disease. Therefore, I am aiming to raise £1000 for a charity that carries out research that goes above and beyond what the government will fund for to ensure that the staggering statistics associated with the UK's second most common cause of cancer death are reduced.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated and I will keep updating my training progress on here and other forms of social media.
