Epilepsy is the UK’s most common serious neurological condition affecting an estimated 1 in 131 people. Epilepsy Action helps over 550,000, people every year through its range of services including its advice and information centre, branch network and accredited volunteer scheme. The organisation’s award-winning website, www.epilepsy.org.uk, receives over 100,000 visitors a month. The Epilepsy Helpline on freephone 0808 800 5050 is available Monday-Friday, 9.00 am - 4.30 pm (4.00 pm on Fridays). Over 90% of its income is in the form of voluntary contributions and its vital work would not be possible without the support of people such as yourself.

My story

Hello,

My name is Hannah, since I was three months old I have suffered from many seizures caused by a severe and rare form of epilepsy called Dravet Syndrome. I will have it all of my life.

My mam is organising an 'Out in the Open' sponsored walk on 18th May 2008, in Herrington Country Park-Sunderland (Walk no 27). We need lots of people to take part as well as sponsoring us. Please get in touch if you can do the walk. All funds that we raise are going to Epilepsy Action.

Epilepsy Action provide a support network for people like me and our families, they also help to raise awareness of epilepsy within the community. Living with epilepsy is very difficult, Epilepsy Action are a great help, please help them to continue their outstanding work by sponsoring me online. Please dig deep and thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
