NEWS UPDATE:

08/03/08 - Well after 181,866 steps I completed the 100km Sahara hiking challenge and also did an extra 10km for good measure! It was an amazing experience, although the weather threw in some extra challenges of a sand storm for 2 days followed by extreme heat!

Hello Everyone,

So you all know by now that I am doing the Sahara Desert Challenge, Mirage to Mirage! A 100km trek through one of the most extreme landscapes on earth, flat expanse to wind blown sand dunes, broken only by the occasional oasis; sounds like fun!!

Mad you say? Probably, but it is a fantastic cause, the Macmillan Cancer Support Team really do help people suffering with Cancer and are a great support for their families too. It's a horrible thought that, one in three of us will be diagnosed with Cancer at some time in our lives and that there are over 200 different types of Cancer!

And Thanks to everyones fantastic support so far I have decided to up my target! :)
