Story
Hi everyone! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page
As some of you may already know, my grandad sadly passed away on Wednesday 20th June 2007 at the age of 79. This has been a huge and unexpected shock for all my family and I decided I wanted to do something in memory of him and to raise money for a great cause.
On Friday 7th of September l completed a 10,000 feet parachute jump out of an aeroplane in aid of the Heart Cells Foundation, (Registered Charity No.1101727), an appeal for Barts hospital (where my grandad was admitted). My aim is to raise as much money as possible through sponsorship and so would greatly appreciate the support from all my family and friends. Any amount of money you wish to donate will be greatly received.
A little more about the charity ...
Many of us have been touched by heart disease whether through a friend or relative. There are 2.6 million people living with debilitating heart and circulatory disease in the UK, and heart disease is responsible for more deaths than any other single cause.
The Heart Cells Foundation is funding research into adult stem cell therapy for heart disease. The ability to use a person's own stem cells to repair their own organs that have been damaged by disease will revolutionise the practice of medicine. This could give renewed hope to many patients and be an alternative to a transplant or many years of taking numerous tablets.
From speaking to many of you already, I decided to set up this page as a simple way to collect all sponsorship, however, if this method is not convenient for you than please contact me and we can arrange a different way. I would like to thank all of those people who have already kindly sponsored me and I hope to hear from many more of you! Your support is greatly appreciated!
Thanks Again
