My story

As some of you may already know, I have completely lost the plot and decided to climb Kilimanjaro in Feb 2010 for charity.

For me this is a pretty insane thing to do, as I’m not exactly known as the fittest person around and I can barely go two days without washing my hair, so I have no idea how I’m going to last at least 6 days with no shower! However, this is something I have wanted to do for some time now (I just choose not to tell anyone incase I backed out!).

I’ve decided to do the climb for Kent Air Ambulance Trust, as it’s a charity that means something personal to me, as they attended the accident scene where I lost my Dad back in 2004. Unfortunately it was already too late for us and they were turned away, but for many others, without them many more lives could have been lost.

They are funded entirely by voluntary donations and receive no Government, National Lottery or NHS funding. It costs £1.6 million each year to keep their helicopter in the sky 365 days a year and this comes from individuals, groups, businesses, companies and clubs from all across . For more details on my chosen charity visit www.kentairambulance.co.uk

For the challenge I need to raise a minimum of £3450 before December 2009. I know in this current credit crunch climate money is tight, but I ask you to dig deep and offer as much as you can for this worth while cause – and I need your support to get my butt up that mountain! Plus this is the first time I’ve done anything like this and the last time I asked anyone to sponsor me was when I was in primary school and running the Blue Peter Crystal Palace Park Fun Run – now that’s going back a bit!

If you are on facebook, join the group 'Hannah is climbing a big arse mountain' for the latest updates.

Thank you so much in advance for all your help and support. It really does mean a lot.

Hannah

Xxx
