As some of you may know I am going on a trip to the Gambia in January 09 with the University of Sheffield Sociological Studies department, to go and support the charity Village Aid. They do a lot of great work empowering local people in the more rural areas of the Gambia, as well as other countries in Africa. Check them out here:

Once I come back from my trip I am hoping to be organising some fundraising events for Village Aid which I hope you will be able to get involved in. This is so that we can make some donations to the charity as a whole, and to the villages we will be visiting in the Gambia.
