Hanne did not share with everybody the fact she had ME, despite dealing with it bravely and with dignity.
The frequent lack of understanding, or even acceptance, of the disease in the medical profession was very difficult for her and continues to be so for others like her.
When Hanne did speak of her disease, it was in terms of "recovering from ME".  She would never allow her spirit to be beaten.  Although she was aware that she should give herself time to recuperate, so many times she set herself the task of battling against the tiredness.
There is no way to ever cure the loss we have suffered, but we hope that by these donations, we can get closer to a cure for ME and provide support for those who are working on their own recovery.
