Hardings falling from the sky · 2 July 2008

Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing specialist, palliative care and support to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Our support begins from the moment someone is diagnosed, through to palliative care and ultimately end of life care.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page and thanks to everyone who helped us reach our nice round target of £1,000! Are we being greedy to go for £1,500?? Well it's not for us so I don't think that's greedy at all!

Both Mark and John Harding will be jumping from "a perfectly good plane" (to the horror of our Mother) from 10,000 feet on 30th August. Sadly this was postponed from the initial date of 16th August due to...hmmm...too much wind...and we're not talking about John's flatulence problem either!

We are going to be doing this for the favourite charity of our brother Paul who tragically passed away on 18th August 2007 just 4 days after his 23rd birthday.  Not only did he raise money for this charity but a senior doctor from St Lukes in Winsford (lovingly known as Dr. Kate) also came to see our family and specifically our sister to help through some very difficult times due to her disability. A worthwhile cause multiplied by 2 I'm sure you'll agree...so please give twice as much!

The staff at St Luke's Hospice provide compassionate care for people suffering from a life-threatening illness in a calm, loving and homely environment. The staff use their professional expertise in a warm and considerate way and are skilled in helping to address body, mind, emotional and spiritual needs.
