My story
Dear All
Lots of you might remember last year we did the 3 peaks challenge and survived!! So this year we thought why not ,but we have a new team memeber due to Ed having to step down, and have taken on the challenge of The HSBC Private Bank Sport Industry Hannibal Marathon.
This takes us to a mountain trek to retrace the footsteps of Hannibal and his band of 40 elephants as they crossed the Alps for their attack on Rome in the 3rd century. This unique challenge will take participants across the Alps through 3 European countries - France, Italy and Switzerland - over two days along a gruelling 26.2 mile marathon course on June 26th. The route crosses two high alpine passes, reaching a maximum altitude of 2,537m including 1,622m of ascent. . As reward for the physical hardships of the walk, participants will witness spectacular views across the top of the Alps amid some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world.
