Welcome to my Just Giving Page and thank you so much for your support. In December of this year, I will be embarking on a ten day trek to the 5896m summit of Mount Killimanjaro in Tanzania. I am doing this as part of a team of about 20 in order to raise money for Engineers Against Poverty (EAP). Engineering touches almost every aspect of the lives of people around the world and has a fundamental role in meeting the challenge of eliminating world poverty. EAP works to promote sustainable development. Their programme is based on two key propositions: First, that unlocking the skills and resources of the private sector represents one of the single greatest opportunities to step-up the fight against poverty. Secondly, that in some circumstances, it is possible to secure social improvements through mechanisms that also deliver commercial advantages to the companies involved.
