Thanks for visiting my fundraising page

I will be travelling to Uganda in July 2009 for 3 weeks with a charity called Act4Africa. The money that i raise will go towards the costs of the expedition (excluding flights).

I will be going to Kasese, a town at the western edge of Uganda, with a group of about 10 other young people, where HIV/AIDS is rife amongst the local community. Here I will be doing HIV/AIDS community youth work through drama and workshop activities in the local schools and villages.

I am going on this expedition, as I have always had a heart for Africa, and have never been there before. I would love to share my faith with the people there, and do anything I can to help the increasing problem of AIDS. I also really want to do something that will make a difference in peoples lives, and I feel this is where God is calling me. I feel this trip will also strengthen my faith as I experience a totally different culture to my own which will be exciting and challenging.
