I am raising money for the rona trust transatlantic challenge in 2009, I will be on the only all girls crew doing the race. We will set out in may from tenerife and get to bermuda in june. Sailing with the tall ships helps to promote understanding between young people of diffirent cultures and backgrounds.

The charity takes children and young adults from all walks of life and promotes personal growth and teamwork through the medium of sailing. I have personally benifitted hugely from sailing with the project for the past 6 or so years. Taking part in this race as a watch leader will help me develop my sailing ability so i can continue to improve my skills and be able to pass them on to others in years to come.
