I've set this page up to ask for your support and to tell you about the trip I am going to make in October 2009.
I am taking a trip to China, to trek amongst the Great Wall of China, Heaven's Ladder and the Forbidden City. To climb cliff faces and even a 400ft zip slide! The trip will be for 10 days going from Beijing right through to Mutianya. But whilst doing this there will be one great cause in mind.
By trekking for up to eight hours a day, I'll be raising money for a charity close to my heart; Headway, the brain injury association.
Headway is a charity which offers guidance and support to those who have sustained brain injuries and their families.
In 2006, my brother, a now Ex-Royal Marine Commando sustained severe head injuries whilst on duty in Afghanistan. Giving up work and helping care for my brother myself and my family recieved great support from Headway. I now feel it's time to give something back for all their hard work.
To enable for me to go on this trip I need to raise £2650. Every penny will go towards the fantastic day centre and facilities that Headway offers to those with head injuries. This is a place for them to escape the rush of everyday living to recieve support and make all important friendships. They also create and maintain fantastic support for families like my own.
So I need your help. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and if anyone has any ideas for fundraising please let me know!
