This is why we are fundraising:

Four in five cancer patients are hit with an average cost of£570 a month as a result of their illness. The physical and emotional impact of cancer is hard enough without the additional burden of money worries.

Phil is the new Macmillan Welfare and Benefits Adviser in Harrogate. He provides specialist advice to ease these concerns, including information on benefits, tax credits and grants. He is available face-to-face or over the phone and can help work out what financial help a patient and their family are entitled to.

Macmillan Cancer Support is looking to raise £108,000.This will cover the cost of the Macmillan Welfare and Benefits Adviser in Harrogate for the first three years. Please give what you can today.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
