(Also running for St Leonard's Hospice, so check my page for that and please donate to the one with the least donations!)

Most of you will know my personal reasons for running for St Leonards Hospice and Macmillan and all the amazing work they did for my family, I can't believe how many years it's been now but I'll never forget the people who helped my mum, and the rest of us, from MacMillan and St Leonards Hospice. That's why I'm doing this run. But it's not just my family who they have helped, many close friends have also benefitted from the care they give, so it's for all of them as well.

For some of you reading this, a 10k will seem trivial, most of my friends are keen sports men and women, enjoy training, run marathons etc. I am not. For those of you who knew my sporting endeavours at scool you will remember my main summer choices as Table Tennis, Volleyball and occasionally Cricket (Scorer), that's if I hadn't found a way to get out of it altogether.

For those who knew me at Uni, Golf (Tiger Woods), Football (Pro Evo) and American Football (Madden), along with eating a rower's diet and drinking like a prop after a World Cup win were the closest I got to sport.

So a 10k feels like a hell of a long way for me! The bottom line though is that this isn't about me and my personal goal, it's about the charities and the work they do. If you want your donation to go to MacMillan, please donate here - if you would like it to go to St Leonard's Hospice, York, then please donate on my MacMillan page.

Thanks

Harry x
