It’s fair to say that some of us have people in our lives that suffer from Heart related illnesses and some of us have also lost people also very close to us. I am no different. My mother had a sudden heart attack at the age of 32 when I was just five years old and in subsequent years suffered a further two significantly reducing her activity. I have also lost members of my family in similar events. Chances are that we all have. Consequently I am running the 2010 London Marathon to raise money for HEART a charity who works towards preventing premature deaths caused by high cholesterol and other cardiovascular diseases. Your contribution will help immensely by raising awareness about the risks of high cholesterol, lobbying for better detection of those at risk, fund research into improved treatment and support health professional training. If we can raise awareness of this brutal and often silent killer we will not only save lives but help stop the heartache of sudden and desperate grief for families and friends. So please contribute whatever you can. I know times are tough but imagine how tough it is for those who are experiencing this.

In return, I will post regularly on how my training and preparations are going along with other events along the way.

Lastly thank you so much for joining my group..the support means so much to me!
