My story
On 5 March 2001 I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML) aged 30.
9 years on I am in the top percentile of responders for Glivec
You can read my full story on my blog at http://leukaemiacharity.wordpress.com/about and follow my 2010 challenge to walk the Pennine Way within 3 weeks in June.
Those that know me will testify this is a huge challenge for me. At the time of writing I do not regularly exercise and have NEVER done an endurance event such as the Pennine Way.
I am an example of what can be achieved through new scientific research and the best way to create more stories like mine is to raise as much money as possible for research through Leukaemia Research.
I will also be walking with Sir Ian Botham in Manchester on 10th April 2010 on the first leg of his walking exploits.
