Whilst Christmas is traditionally when we swap gifts, eat too many mince pies and sing carols it is also for many a time when the loss of a loved one is felt the most. This is why, together with the actor Ray Winstone, a Patron of Haven House Children's Hospice, we are asking people to donate to our campaign and thus make a significant difference to the children and families who receive care and support from Haven House. For our 2011 campaign we are hoping to raise a total of £45k (with £15k to come through JustGiving.) This will fund the costs of one on our most qualified nurses for an entire year. Haven House Children’s Hospice is a special place for special children. We care for children and young people between the ages of 0 to 19 who have life-limiting conditions and who are unlikely to reach adulthood. We help families by providing a range of services that include day, short break and end of life care, together with therapeutic play in the community. Families can find the support they need when they need it most at no cost to themselves. Haven House Children’s Hospice is a charity looking after children and their families in Central and North East London and West Essex.
