I'm 70 this year and to celebrate (my wife thinks I am mad) I am doing a 1000 mile journey from John O'Groats to Lands End for charity. I am driving a classic car - a volkswagon golf mk1. Donating through this JustGiving page will help raise vital funds for Macmillan cancer support.

I am also a member of the vw golf mk1 club which has hundreds of members that help keep these classics on the road and every year hold an AGM in Uttoxeter race course - where I will be stopping on this special journey - honk if you see the car in the photo.
