Bupa Great Capital Run 2008 · 20 July 2008 ·

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses – who we continually support and develop – provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Story

I am doing the 10k Bupa Great Capital Run on 20th July.
I have not been running for quite some time.*
At parties I often tell people how much I enjoy it.
Whilst not technically a lie I thought it might be time to do some actual running.

*And the BBC had the gall to label me 'overweight'

To motivate me I have chosen to raise money for the charity for dementia. I would like to support this charity for my grandfather, the original Haydn Jones, who suffers from vascular dementia. I am also doing this to raise general awareness of care for the elderly and vulnerable people, something that has recently affected my family.
