Story

After a lot of illness and a lack of being able to train I have had to re book my expedition to Everest Base Camp, but be rest assured, it is scheduled to go ahead on 23/03/2012. I will indeed be embarking on the challenge of a lifetime - to trek to Everest Base Camp. I am back training, fundraising and planning this epic trip.

The challenge will take 16 days in total and is graded as "extreme" due to the length of days trekking at high altitude (5545 metres - that's 735 metres higher than Mont Blanc) and a very high level of training and fitness is required!!

I will be trekking for Macmillan Cancer Support - the charity that gave Marks family so much support in looking after his dad Tom when he was so very ill.

I am aiming to raise £3000 for this amazing charity so all the support you can give me will be very much appreciated.

I am creating a Blog so you will be able to follow my training regime right up to departure in December 2011, and then be able to read all about the Challenge when I get back. I will also be listing all the events I am planning to raise the money, lists of supporters who will be helping me along the way and lots of photos as I attempt to get fit!!

Please, please support me on this Challenge, and help me raise much needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
