RNIB Ayrshire Vision Appeal aims to raise £150,000 to ensure RNIB Scotland's Vision Support Service continues its work in Ayrshire. This service provides critical emotional and practical support within eye clinics, enabling people to stay independent and well at a time of potential trauma.

Without support patients, their families and their carers, can find it difficult to cope and often manifest this through feelings of depression, anger and confusion.

I know that such support makes the world of difference and I'm running from Glasgow to Edinburgh - thats 56 miles and hopefully 13 hours - to raise funds for this Appeal.

Your donation will help me stay focused and determined on this run, and I will be the first blind person to do it!
