We will be supporting the James Hopkins Trust as our charity of the year for 2013/14.

They are a local charity, based in Barnwood Gloucester. The charity help provide practical help for severely disabled, life threatened and life limited young children with nursing needs, aged 5 years and under, living in Gloucestershire. They offer respite care to families through the purpose built daycare centre at Kite’s Corner, or in the families’ homes. In addition they are involved in the provision of specialist equipment, and financial help for visits to specialist hospitals outside of the county. Their main focus however is the respite care provided to families. The daycare centre can accommodate up to 8 children during the day, and currently has a 2 bedroom overnight care facility.
