Hi all

I'm trying to raise £1000 this summer for WSPA's brilliant work, rescuing bears from horrible lives being kept in cages, or made to dance or fight.

WSPA have a bear sanctuary in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania where rescued bears can live out their days in a natural environment with space to roam, food and veterinary care. They currently look after 60 bears.

A further 25 bears are in urgent need of rescue and so WSPA require funds to extend the sanctuary by one third in order to be able to house them. This huge project will cost £248,000 BUT....when broken down it equates to just £3.10 per square metre! That's only the price of a pint or a G & T to make a real-life difference and build a square metre of sanctuary!

I will be visiting this sanctuary in September after a 4 day hike through the mountains at 8000ft to get there! I am also selling a Bear Quiz for £1 and holding a raffle with some fab prizes and holding events over the summer to raise funds for the work of this great charity.
