As the months rolled on and the commitment was made it suddenly dawned on me that I had to get fit and take on this huge challenge. Mum was fighting another all together bigger challenge in that the cancer had spread to her liver. She fought so incredibly hard and took two rounds of Ceamo with immense strength and determination.
In October this year her health deteriorated rapidly and after a short stint in hospital she was sadly given a short time to live.
We managed to bring her home to Nettlebeds Farm and devised a plan to deal with the sadness – Lots of red wine in the evening and lots of running in the days
Sadly on Friday the 24th of November last year my beloved mummy lost her battle with cancer and passed away gently.
Her spirit was determined to the end, she loved every minute of seeing me run off over the fields in her final days.
