Story
Welcome to our fundraising page!
Just to let you all know we did it! We completed the 13.1 miles in 2hrs 15mins, not bad considering we decided to tase the sunderland nightlife the night before the race! Not the build up we would recommend. It was a great day and you can view the photos on the Group40 website at www.group40.co.uk Thanks to everyone who has donated and helped us reach and exceed our target.
Myself and Alex are going to complete the Great North Run 2006 in aid of a charity which I have been a part of for 8 years now. Alex is now in a wheelchair and so will be completing the race using a specially designed hand bike.
I joined HCPT Group 40 when I was 16 years old and next year I will take charge of the group with another friend. Our Merseyside group aims to take 10 children away each year and its funding target each year is in excess of £10,000 to pay for this. Please visit our website at http://www.group40.co.uk and view what we do.
Myself and Alex are hoping to raise £1,000 which will help take 2 children to Lourdes in 2007.
Any money over the £1000 we raise will go to the BackUp Trust, who have supported Alex since his accident. We are aiming for £500.

Please help us achieve this by sponsoring us, no matter how small the amount it all adds up.
