<p>Our primarily carnivorous, ale drinking president will be going vegan for a <a title="organised by the AHS" href="http://www.ahsstudents.org.uk/" target="_blank">'Non-Prophet' </a>week (7-13th February). Pity him and dig deep! :)</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Ben's views on vegetarianism are well publicised, however,&nbsp; he has agreed to abstain from all animal products including bacon and beer (two of his favourite things) for a whole week to raise money for <a title="WaterAid homepage" href="http://www.wateraid.org/uk/" target="_blank">WaterAid</a> - a thoroughly worthwhile charity which aims to bring clean safe water and sanitation to the world's poorest communities.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>40% of the world's population live without appropriate sanitation resulting in 1.4 million children per year dying of preventable diseases like diarrhoea.&nbsp; With just <strong>&pound;15</strong> WaterAid can give someone access to clean, safe water and adaquate sanitation.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>EDIT: Well, it was hard, but it is now over. I'll be leaving this up for the next week or so to catch any last donations, so best get them in quickly :)</p>
