Who are we?

We are two Global Xchange (with VSO) volunteers that have been assigned to work with Norcare. Our names are Clara and Athanasius and we will be working with Norcare for the duration of 3 months. We have been encouraged to set up our own projects according to our skills and interests. Norcare works across the North East region, with its head office in Newcastle.

What are we doing?

We are trying to break the world record for The Most People Shaving their Heads at the Same Time !! The venue for this event will be confirmed at a later stage but will definitly happen in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Why?

To raise awareness about the work of Norcare and the challenges that people in need may face when they are socially and economically excluded. We want to organise an event that will bring the community together and raise funds for a great charity. The money that is raised will go to a Clients Activity Fund, which will enable Norcare's clients to achieve empowering goals that they may not have been able to afford otherwise.
