Our ski journey to the Pole from &nbsp;an equivalent Latitude where Sir Ernest Shackleton had to turn back just 97 1/2 miles short of his goal in 1909 has been a most amazing experience.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric; punctuation-wrap: simple;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">It is impossible to explain how it was but I have been very privileged to have been with David Hempleman-Adams and Rune Geldnes who have the ability of encouraging people to do things they would never do.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric; punctuation-wrap: simple;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric; punctuation-wrap: simple;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">"No person who has spent a period of his life in those stark sullen latitudes that sentinel the Pole will understand fully what trees flowers and running streams mean to the Soul of Man"</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &#39;Times New Roman&#39;;"> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric; punctuation-wrap: simple;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; mso-fareast-font-family: &#39;Times New Roman&#39;; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Bob has been on many adventures but this will be the hardest thing he has ever attempted.
