AADC deficiency is a rare disabling brain disease. More than 100 children in 30 countries have been identified with the disease. It's proved fatal for some of them. The AADC Research Trust is a children's charity funding research, supporting affected families and promoting global disease awareness.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The AADC Research Trust gets your money fast.

I am training for a half triathlon for March 15, 2009. This is a first for me ! My goal is to get to the finish line without gasping for air!

The triathlon was such a rush to do!  I can't wait to do it again next year.  The run was definitely the toughest part. My legs felt like rubber bands!

Thank you for all of encouragement and support!

A focus of mine this year is to raise funds for research for AADC.  I am in the process of planning a 10 mile walk in Tampa, FL in September to help raise funds and awareness of this rare disorder.

If you would like further information about this disorder you can go to AADCresearch.org   This wonderful organization was formed by a UK mom of an AADC child. A disorder that afflicts 50 children in the WORLD.

All donations on this site are in pounds, so please use a conversion calculator  to calculate dollars to pounds. Here is one you can copy into your browser:
