Heart really is a passionate about supporting race for life this year. in 2008 our news editor Michaela Richards lost her mum to Ovarian cancer, Michaela says " The day I lost my mum was without a doubt the worst day of my life, I can't believe all the pain and suffering that she had to go through in the final months of her life and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about her and miss her. Rather than being really sad my mum is gone I try and do something positive and make her life really count, that's why I want to raise as much money as possible for Race for life this year, I'm really pleased that I have another Heart team and together we can raise vital funds for cancer research UK"
