Story

WE DID IT! Look at how much money we have raised - nearly £4000. There is a good chance we will make it past that £4000 once the final cheques and cash have been counted.

And we finished the marathon! Blue skies, 35,000 runners, jelly babies (never again), lucozade (never again!), amazing crowds, C'mon Nick!, C'mon Hetts!, Cutty Sark, Canary Wharf, Toby the running Banana, Get going stretchy girl, looking good, feeling sick, PASSING THE FINISH LINE!, tears and medals........ can't remember much else!!

For those who care, Nicola passed the finish line in a tremendous 4 hours 32 minutes! Heather sprinted (!) back in 4 hours 59 minutes (got held up on the tube...not!).

We RAN to raise funds for the Princess Royal Trust for Carers with 50% going directly to Young Carers in Perth. The Trust does some tremendous work in Perth and our pain will be their gain!

To give you an idea of where your money will be going, read on.......

£10 would pay for a young carer to socialise with children in a similar situation, giving them the chance to be children. For some this will be the first time since becoming a carer.

£20 would pay for 10 carers to receive confidential group support on-line, where they can share concerns, give each other advice and make friends.

£50 would pay for two emergency counselling sessions for a carer.

£100 would pay for two young carers to have a weekend break away from their caring responsibilities.
