We will do whatever it takes to help you live life as fully as you can

Story

As you may be aware, my father, the late Air Vice Marshal Mike Heath CBE, died on 17 November 2007, whilst on exchange in Tampa Florida.  He was beset by various cancers throughout his life; however, being such a stoic person, this was something that he took in his stride and never let worry him.

I am planning to run from coast to coast across Florida with Ben Whittaker in order to raise money for 3 very worthy causes.  All the money raised in the UK will be donated to MacMillan Cancer Support (See left).  All of the proceeds from sponsorship raised in the US will be split equally between Tampa General Hospital and the Moffitt rare disease centre, Tampa.  Both of these institutions provided first class treatment for my father on a number of occasions when he was diagnosed with various life-threatening cancers.

We will be running 130 miles across Florida starting on the East coast and finishing 5 days later at Tampa General Hospital, on the West coast of Florida.   In total we aim to complete the 5 marathons in 5 days. The event starts on 11th April 2009.

Cancer is something that is very close to home for my family, so all donations will be extremely gratefully received.

Thank you all so much for your support.  Less than 2 weeks to go now!
