Heidi and I haven't ridden a bike in years so not only is the fundraising a mammoth job but getting on our bikes and getting our posteriors used to being there for hours is also a mammoth job.

I lost my mam Betty Messenger to cancer earlier this year, she had only been diagnosed for two weeks when she sadly died and it hit our whole family very hard.  Since then it has made me realise that life is just too short not to enjoy it and try new things so with that in mind in May I fulfilled an ambition I have had for years, I did a tandem parachute jump in May, it was the most exhilarating thing I have ever done.

Last month I was reading a magazine when an advert for this challenge caught my eye and I thought why not.  I asked Heidi if she fancied doing a bike ride for charity and she agreed, don't think she realised at the time it was a 450k bike ride and that we had to raise £3300 each, but never the less she said yes!!!

We are currently pulling together lots of ideas for fundraising and franticatlly writing out to as many companies we can think of to get donations for rafles, tombolas, etc, so if you would like to help us in our activities please get in touch.

Neither of us is technicaly minded so until I enlist the help of my son I am afraid our page is a little boring.
