Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This September I'm going to be swimming the furthest I've ever swum in open water, and I'm doing it to raise money for the wonderful Dragon Café in Borough and its Mental Fight Club. The Café is a real hidden gem in Southwark, supporting people from all walks of life with their mental health and wellbeing - providing community and activities such as creative writing, art, singing, mindfulness, gardening, dance, it offers many people a friendly place of calm and belonging when they most need it. Like many voluntary projects, especially those which are open access, there is a pressing need for fundraising to ensure that the good work can continue. I want to use my year as the Deputy Cabinet Member for Mental Health in Southwark to fundraise and increase the profile of this project and many like it, and I hope you can give generously!
