Story
Cancer is a disease we all know about but you never think it's going to happen to you. To hear your child has been diagnosed is every parent's nightmare.
We are so grateful for the unwavering support and spirit from family and friends, helping us get through Ben's treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. We want to support two charities - CRUK and their research into fighting cancer (see other page for info) and CLIC Sargent for the practical help they provide after diagnosis - which is so crucial at a time like this.
Cancer affects the whole family and CLIC Sargent is a charity that provides clinical, practical and emotional support to help children, young people and their families to cope. Ben's specialist nurse Amanda is employed by CLIC; CLIC also provide `play specialists' on the ward who are always on hand to distract when necessary; we also have a key worker Kelly, who has put us in touch with some incredible, small charities who do amazing work, and are put in touch with families and provide wishes or treats to children tackling cancer - giving something to aim for and look forward to.Thank you for your support and kind donation. It really does mean a lot and supports a great charity which makes a real difference to many families like us. Helen, Andres, Anna and Ben xxx
