Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've never run more than 3 miles in a race before. In fact, trying to run for more than half an hour has always been my idea of hell. So, why would I possibly choose to do a half marathon?
When my mum was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer I didn't really know what to do, what to say or how to feel. The people at Macmillan are there to offer help and advice to anyone who is affected by cancer; they give reliable information, invaluable resources and a wonderful feeling of comfort to anyone who needs them. On that note- if anyone is reading this with questions about cancer, whether it's symtoms, treatment or living with cancer, take a look at www.macmillan.org.uk for friendly help and advice.
My target of £918 is enough to fund a Macmillan nurse for a working week. This is going to be a hard run for me, but if we work together hopefully we can reach the finish line, reach that £918 goal and really help people!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
If you'd like to keep track of my training, and yell at me if I look like I'm slacking, check out my blog at halfayeartohalfamarathon.wordpress.com !
