Adrian was my husband and friend and after a very short brave battle he lost his life to metatastic malignant melanoma in February 2015.
He was a kind, thoughtful man who loved life and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He worked with HART for the Welsh ambulance service and graduated with a degree during his illness to realise his dream and became a paramedic.
He was lucky enough to have a bed at Holme Towers with the Marie Curie Team who were nothing but caring and compassionate and looked after us both in a way I will never forget. Nothing was ever too much trouble and I felt part of a huge family with a shoulder to cry on or words of reassurance at all times.
Adrian said to me I should do this trek and it now makes perfect sense. I am blessed to have three of my best friends with me and I feel a huge sense of worth giving something back to this amazing charity.
I'd like to think that if ever anyone is unlucky enough to need care with Marie Curie they will be there to lighten the darkest of days . Of course they can 't do this without your money .
In anticipation I thank you from the bottom of my heart
