We Ran the Last Ever Flora London Marathon

...so as you all know back in April the four of us destroyed the London Marathon and more recently our target of £8000 has received the same treatment, so, we have decided to raise the bar to a whopping £10,000!  This years marathon was the hottest on record for the last fifteen or so years and we managed to brave about a hundred blisters, a couple of missing toe nails and a knee injury to complete it and if that isn't worthy of a few pounds then pull my hair and call me Shirley because we don't know what is?!?!

It is fast approaching John's first anniversary and although none of us can believe how quickly the time has gone he is still very much at the fore of our minds.  John who had been an insulin dependent diabetic from being a young man suffered health problems throughout his life and died suddenly last year, the day after we had all been together at a familly christening.  He always had a smile on his face, a pair of gardening shorts on and a suntan that made David Dickenson look washed out!  He was a devoted husband, dad, granddad, uncle and friend; we will never forget the memories we have of him and we will miss him forever.
