Hello, thank you for visiting my page, The past few years have seen me pounding the streets (and my knees!) in the hope of sponsorship for Combat Stress. So far everyone has stepped up to the plate magnificently and Combat Stress has been rewarded with phenomenally generous support. So, yet again I shall be hauling myself around the streets on Sunday 12 July at the London 10k in the hope to raise not only the profile of Combat Stress but a few pounds to assist in the sad avalanche of military personnel that so desperately need their help.
The exceptional and sadly essential work that Combat Stress do with our brave ex-servicemen and women is increasing at such an alarming rate, with current Operations in the Middle East, that Combat Stress will continue to be a critical, and all too often literal, life-line for many for years to come. Last year saw an unprecedented 26% increase of referrals and requests for help. Regardless of the politics surrounding the Operations our Armed Forces have been committed to, the men and women serving the Crown deserve our respect and assistance when they need it most.
