100 mile Roseberry Trek · 3 June 2009

In March 2007, School Aid India started a small school for disadvantaged children in Darejeeling, India. The aim is to give poor children a brighter future by educating them properly up to the age of 11. The charity is currently fundraising to acquire permanent premises to secure the school's future.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I did this 100 mile Roseberry Trek to raise money to build an extension to the school for disadvantaged children that I founded three years ago in Darjeeling, Northern India.

My marathon sponsored walk, scheduled over seven days in August, started and ended on Roseberry Topping, taking in Danby Beacon, Sleights, Robin Hoods Bay, Levisham, Hutton le Hole and Chop Gate along the way.

Various friends and relations joined  me on the 100 mile route, and my thanks go to loyal companions Betty and Sue who were with me all the way. I would like to thank everyone who has so kindly supported our cause by sponsoring us.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: School Aid India gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
