Derek Pratt was my best friend's father. He died on Sunday after being looked after for the last 3 months at the Burrswood Hospice just outside Tunbridge Wells. Burrswood is a beautiful place, very tranquil, the staff there are incredibly caring and they made Derek's last few months incredibly peaceful. They also provided much needed comfort to his family.

On Sunday 17th May, 7 of us (Derek's wife Dorothy, youngest daughter Fiona, her 3 daughters and my mum Vivienne and I) will be walking 10 miles as "Derek's Dollies" to raise money for Burrswood.
