Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My daughter Lynne fundraises for Teenage Cancer Trust in the East of Scotland. She has done for over 3 years and I have been delighted to help her at events. But she has done so well and has come up with this remarkable challenge to raise £100,000 in one month that I have decided to go the extra mile - or 600 ft actually! Lynne has organised a zipslide in Edinburgh in September and when she did one herself in spring this year I was there to cheer her on. She was terrified - always been a right scaredy with heights, so she has! Anyway I watched and thought I would love to do that. My husband Neil said 'No Way' but has come round to thinking its ok.
You see, I will be 80 in September and I suppose its not something 80 year olds do, is it? Well, its something this 80 year will do. And I can raise more money for Lynneschallenge.
The funds raised here will go towards the appeal for a new Teenage Cancer Trust unit at Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. Work on the new Teenage Cancer Trust unit is expected to start in 2010 and will be for cancer patients aged 16 – 24.
UPDATE!
I DID IT - as you can see from the photo. What an amazing experience. Thanks to everyone who donated here and offline - my sister in law Sylvia did a fantastic job of raising £100 in sponsorship for me from friends and family bringing my total to over £500.
