Story
Hi,
Oh boy! Not long now! I am so excited, and a bit nervous! Have I done enough, or too much?! What a privilege, to get a place when 93,000 runners wanted one!
This final week is about resting, eating, and drinking, sounds almost ideal, shame I have to work! The photo opposite is of me in my club top, which is what I'll wear on the big day. A local firm, imprints, very kindly printed my name on the front, and very colourfully, printed Yeldall and DCTC on the back. For a view of the back, which is cheery, click here.
The smilies below represent how I have felt during these four months, and you'll see I've had a roller-coaster journey. I am so grateful to all who have encouraged and supported me, in various ways, and that probably includes you if you are reading this. Thanks indeed to my family, friends, work colleagues and local businesses, all have been great!
If you would like to support DCTC, using this page is the simplest method of fundraising, although perhaps less fun than some activities I've done!
Donating here is simple, secure and the most efficient way: Dreams Come True Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
This is one of two pages, so please also look at the other. Both organisations do a great job, so choose which you'd like to support, or support both if you can!
Many thanks for your support, of whatever kind!
Helen - (My race no. 25774)
