Charity Skydive - Raising money to treat the less privileged
Fundraising for Midland Doctors Association UK
Story
I've created this fundraising page so we can all help individuals who are living in far worse conditions than we are. I'm participating in a skydive on the 6th May in Dubai as a way of raising money. 100% of donations will go directly towards treatment / medicines for individuals being treated in the hospital.
Midland Doctors was established in 2006 by a group of local NHS professionals - who had travelled to Pakistan following the disastrous earthquake in order to provide emergency medical relief. They had funded their own trip, took no wages and had set up a charity with absolutely no administrative costs.
The charity still runs on this same ethos, and absolutely noone who volunteers their time/travel is paid any expenses at all - From the individual who manages their admin to the surgeons who fly out and carry out life saving operations. These individuals came back with a vision to return to Northern Pakistan and built a hospital which is NHS style - (which was completed in 2013), in order to achieve this - countless fundraising events had been organised over the last 11 years to build and now run the hospital.

Whatever you donate today - the full amount will be used to make a difference to another's life.
- £10 can sponsor vaccinations for a child against diseases including typhoid.
- £50 can sponsor a day's blood lab investigations for patients in the hospital.
- £100 can sponsor the surgery of one sick person.
- £10 a month can help sponsor antibiotics for sick children.
- £50 a month can help sponsor the training of local medical doctors, nurses and midwives.
- £100 a month to sponsor a day's medical outpatient clinic with life saving medicines.
